Individuals and Small Groups
I work with therapists in both individual and small group settings.
Therapists I work with may be unsatisfied with a lack of clinical support in their current workplace. They may be hungry to appreciate their clinical work in more depth. I specialize in bringing a deeply meaningful and compassionate spirit into clinical work. Psychotherapy should be radically and unapologetically human.
I especially enjoy working with therapists feeling alone in the trenches working with severe mental illness.
Individuals
I work with therapists one-on-one, offering creative clinical insight into difficult cases. Clinical consultation is an ongoing, necessary part of any therapist’s life work. No two courses of therapy are ever the same; reaching an impasse in the work is inevitable. I enjoy working with therapists who’ve exhausted “by-the-book” interventions and seek a creatively modified clinical approach to help their patient. If the fit doesn’t feel right with my style, I can refer to a number of other specialized clinicians who can help.
Small Groups
I work with early-career therapists in small group settings. We use the power of community and collaborative peer support to work through clinical cases, issues related to burnout, and enhance our capacities to do this difficult work.
(The minimum size for a consultation group is 2 participants. The more members, the less cost for you. My rates are flexible with all consultation work - don’t hesitate to reach out.)
Agencies and Institutions
I offer affordable consultation and speaking engagements for community groups and institutions seeking help supporting members with extreme emotional states and expanding knowledge around how to work humanistically with chronic mental health problems.
I am available either as a consult for acute problems, or for customized topic-based presentations to meet the group’s learning needs (including CE presentations).
